Fascist forces in India out to distort Kashmir’s disputed status: Gilani-led forum

In occupied Kashmir, the forum led by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the communal and the fascist forces in India with full backing of Bharatiya Janata Party’s government hell-bent upon eliminating the international status of the Kashmir dispute on both internal and external levels. The forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The policies of India are the outcome of her sick mentality, as Delhi wants not only to implement its expansionist designs but also to go ahead by trampling down the neighboring countries.”

“Pakistan is paying a heavy price for supporting the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people and India is directly involved in the worsened internal situation of the country and is providing finance and weapons to the terrorists,” the statement added.

“It is the most crucial stage and the Pakistani leadership should deal this situation with extra caution, courage and farsightedness,” it further said.

Terming the statement of Pakistan Prime Minister’s National Security Advisor, Sartaj Aziz on Kashmir as encouraging, the forum said, if Islamabad continues with this policy then in the changing world scenario, India cannot stick long to its traditional rigidity and stubbornness on the Kashmir dispute.

“It will be beyond the limitations of India to overlook the facts and realities regarding the Kashmir issue, because it is a human issue and not a bilateral dispute,” the statement added.

The forum said that the lingering Kashmir dispute was a big contributing factor to the disharmony and instability in the South Asian region and warned of the possibilities of a destructive war if the long-pending dispute was not resolved according to the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
