Srinagar, June 17 : In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Bandipore town for the second consecutive day, today, in protest against the desecration of holy Quran by the workers of an Indian construction company.
All shops and business establishments remained closed in the town.
Tension gripped parts of Bandipore district, yesterday, following the incident, which had triggered massive demonstrations. Indian police had resorted to brute force to disperse the demonstrators.
