Pakistan Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira links peace to liberation of Kashmir
Feb 5th, 2013 | Category: Kashmir NewsInformation Minister Ch Qamar Zaman Kaira has said liberation of Kashmir from India is necessary for permanent peace in the region. Talking to journalists at Dera Kaira here on Monday, Kaira said the conflict would continue until Kashmir was liberated. “Pakistani people are with the Kashmiri freedom fighters who have given sacrifices. They cannot be deprived of freedom for a long time. All parties are united on Kashmir issue and the whole nation has same feelings over the Kashmir issue and February 5 is celebrated as Kashmir Day,” the information minister argued. Kaira said he was astonished by the PML-N sit-in and protest as it had rule in the Punjab and a platform of parliament and media. He said the government wanted to strengthen the EC.
“If the PML-N wants any legalisation, the PPP government is ready for this. The CEC has given assurance on verification of voters in Karachi. Then there should be no reason for any protest and sit-in. Those who have no government or assemblies, they may have such practices. It is not a suitable practice to go ahead with confused stand and the PML-N should tell the nation what it wanst,” Kaira added. He said: “If Taliban want dialogues in the limits of the constitution the government has no objection.”
