Srinagar, January 14 : In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, urged Pakistan and India to take blood steps for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Zafar Akbar Butt addressing public gatherings in Manchwa, Kralpora and Wathora areas of Chadora castigated Indian army for issuing statements that had caused panic to the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially among those who were residing near the so Line of Control.

He said, “Indian government and military generals are issuing such statements that are issued in wars. These statements have created panic among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.” He maintained that settlement of the Kashmir dispute could be achieved in a peaceful environment for which both the countries should end their tension. He appealed to both Countries to start a dialogue process and involve the genuine leadership with it for resolution of the lingering dispute.

Paying tributes to martyrs of the areas, the APHC leader demanded release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails in and outside the occupied territory. He said that the Kashmiris would continue their peaceful struggle for achieving their inalienable right to self-determination till its logical end.
