Cross-border tunnels between India and Pakistan reopened

India-PakCross-border tunnels between India and Pakistan have reopened after their closure in early January due to the escalation of tensions in the disputed Kashmir district.

Starting from 2005 Indians and Pakistanis had been allowed to cross the border freely every Monday but after the two armies exchanged fire following the killing two Indian soldiers in Kashmir the tunnels were closed.

Delhi and Islamabad agreed a ceasefire in mid January.
