APHC-AJK holds protest in Islamabad against election drama in IOK
Dec 15th, 2014 | Category: Kashmir NewsThe All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Azad Kashmir chapter, today, held a protest demonstration outside Press Club in Islamabad against the farcical elections in Occupied and Kashmir.
The protest was led by the APHC-AJK Convener, Syed Yousuf Naseem. The participants of the protest rejected the fake election drama engineered by India and reiterated that these elections could not be a substitute to the UN-promised plebiscite.
On the occasion, speakers expressed their solidarity with those oppressed Kashmiris, who had been forced to cast their votes at gunpoint.
The leaders asked the UN and international community to urge India to stop human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and restore Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
The APHC leaders, who participated in the protest included Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Manzoor-ul-Haq Butt, Mir Tahir Masood, Hasan-al-Bana, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Nisar Mirza, Dawood Khan Yousufzai, Abdul Majid Malik, Altaf Ahmad Butt, Raja Khadim Hussain, Muhammad Shafi Dar, Syed Abdullah Gilani, Nazir Karnai, Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Abdul Hameed Karimi.
