Zafar Butt distributes Eid gifts among flood victims

In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, along with party leaders and activists while continuing the relief work, today, visited several areas of Srinagar including Shalimar, Batpora and Tailbal.

Zafar Akbar Butt during the visit expressed sympathy and solidarity with the flood victims and distributed Eid gifts, food packets and other useable items ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

Zafar Akbar Butt assured every kind of help and support to the affected families and said that his party would continue its relief work till the affectees got help from the international community for reconstructing their houses, which were destroyed by the floods.

The APHC leader urged the Kashmiris to observe the coming Eid-ul-Azha with simplicity and remember the flood-hit homeless families. He said that affluent families had to shoulder the responsibility of rehabilitating the flood victims as Indian government had left them at the mercy of circumstances.

He also appealed to the international community particularly the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to respond to the requests of oppressed Kashmiri people and help the flood victims by rehabilitating them before the onset of harsh winter season.
