Shabbir urges Kashmiris in UK to protest against Modi’s visit

Srinagar, November 09  : In occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has appealed to the Kashmiris residing in United Kingdom to register strong protests against Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, upcoming visit to the country.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah, who is under illegal detention, in a statement issued in Srinagar asked the British Kashmiris to raise their voices in favour of the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir and make it reach to the global forums.

The senior Hurriyet leader expressing gratitude to the Kashmiris living in foreign countries said that they always supported the Kashmir cause in every situation by raising their voices against the Indian tyranny.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah referring to the history said that soon after the partition of subcontinent in 1947 and the departure of Britain, the Kashmir dispute was created after India forcibly occupied the territory of Jammu and Kashmir by landing its troops in Srinagar and remained unresolved till date. “Since then, Kashmir issue is continuously posing threat to the peace and stability to the entire South Asia,” he added.

The senior Hurriyet leader appealed to the Britain and other world nations to seriously take notice of Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.
