London, January 22 : The Advisory Council of Kashmir Centre London has decided to observe the Indian Republic Day on 26th January as Black Day.

The Kashmir Centre in a statement issued in London said that the Kashmiris all over the world would raise their voice against the gross human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

“India tries to promote its image as the largest democracy of the world, but the fact of the matter is that it has deprived the people of Jammu and Kashmir of all their democratic rights, all the fundamental freedom and more essentially the right to self-determination guaranteed by the international community in the UN resolutions,” it added.

The statement appealed to all the British Kashmiris to join a peaceful demonstration on 26th of January at 1 pm outside the Indian High Commission situated at Aldwych in London.
