JKLF activists hold protest in Srinagar

In occupied Kashmir, the activists of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front observed a one-day hunger strike to express solidarity with the JKLF ailing Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, at Maisuma in Srinagar, today.

JKLF leaders, activists and people from all walks of life joined the strike,” said a statement issued by the party.

The demonstrators closed the fly-over and Budshah Bridge at Maisuma.

Muhammad Yasin Malik is observing an indefinite hunger strike for the past few days against the atrocities unleashed by the Indian police against local youth.

“Police have detained innocent youth, JKLF activists and is committing atrocities upon locals of other areas adjacent to Maisuma,” the statement added.
