In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet Conference Jammu and Kashmir has condemned the arbitrary arrests, nocturnal raids and harassment of youth across the Valley and said the authorities are tying to resolve every issue by the dint of gun.

An HCJK spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, “The authorities have waged an all-out war in the territory.”

“In a civilized society, everyone has the right to express his/her views and to struggle for his right but in Kashmir, laws are openly violated. What prevails here is the law of might is right,” the spokesperson added.

Condemning the arrests of party leaders and activists, the spokesperson said that police had made a hell life of everyone striving for right to self-determination.

“And to snatch or usurp such right of the people is the worst example of state terrorism and is bereft of any constitutional or legal justification,” the statement said.

Police have fabricated Freedom Party’s Abdul Waheed (Langate) and dozens of other activists and kept them behind bars, it deplored. The spokesperson demanded immediate release of all the political leaders and activists. Terming the continuous detention of JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik as unconstitutional, HCJK spokesperson said despite the his ill-health, police are not releasing him and are unnecessarily unleashing the reign of terror among the people of Maisuma, which is extremely condemnable.
