Gilani reiterates stance on Kashmir dispute

In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has reiterated his stance that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and the dispute can be resolved only through the implementation of relevant United Nations’ resolutions.

Syed Ali Gilani said this while presiding over the executive council meeting of the forum led by him at Hyderpora in Srinagar, today.

Syed Ali Gilani said that any Pak-India talks would fail to yield positive results unless Kashmir was addressed as a core issue and efforts were made to resolve the dispute in its historical background and as per Kashmiris’ aspirations.Meanwhile, the forum patronized by, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement urged the international community to take notice of the Indian state terrorism in the territory and help release all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists.

APHC leader, Zafar Akbar Butt during his mass contact programme in different areas of Gandarbal, today, stressed the inclusion of the true representatives of Kashmiris in Pak-India talks.

Another APHC leader, Syed Bashir Andrabi in a statement condemned the fresh arrest spree unleashed by Indian army and police in the occupied territory especially in Pulwama.

The President of Doctors Association of occupied Kashmir, Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the authorities for launching crackdowns on social media and termed it as violation of civil liberties.
