The puppet Chief Minister of occupied Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, has described the current floods in the territory as the worst in 109 years.

The puppet Chief Minister in a media interview in Srinagar acknowledging the anger and frustration of the affected people, maintained that the authorities were doing everything to help those in distress.

Rejecting criticism that the authorities were not prepared or had not reached all the affected people, Omar Abdullah said that nobody could plan for an unpredictable crisis.

When told about the anger among the people over not getting enough help from the administration, the puppet Chief Minister said, “I can understand their anger and pain. It is not wrong on their part. I don’t blame them. It is a crisis of unpredictable proportion. Whatever is possible and whatever is in my capacity we will do.”

He said that he knew people had lost their belongings; farmers had lost their rice crops. “My effort will be to make them stand on their own feet again.”, he maintained.
