In occupied Kashmir, the People’s Political Party (PPP) organized a candle-light vigil in remembrance of slain children of Peshawar’s Army Public School, at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, last evening.

The event was led by PPP Chief Engineer Hilal Ahmad War. Besides party leaders and activists, a large number of journalists, lawyers and civil society members participated in the vigil to express solidarity with the families of the victims.

The participants were holding placards and banners with slogans in favour of the martyrs.

Speaking on the occasion, Hilal Ahmad War termed the killing of innocent children in Peshawar as the worst form of human rights violation.

“There is no justification for these barbaric killings. The attackers are biggest enemies of Islam and humanity and must be sternly punished. They can never be well wishers of Islam and Pakistan. No religion allows such cowardly attacks on innocent people, particularly women and children,” War said.
