In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Kashmir Freedom Front (KFF), Syed Bashir Andrabi has strongly condemned the fresh arrest spree in the whole valley especially in Pulwama district.Syed Bashir Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the Indian troops and police personnel had set up check points in every nook and corner of the territory where people were being harassed.

He said that hundreds of youth had been arrested from across the territory and in Pulwama during the past few days and many others had been asked to come to police stations to prevent the people from holding anti-India demonstrations. He said that such actions had exposed India’s claims of being a democratic country.

He urged India to take steps towards settling the lingering dispute through meaningful tripartite dialogue as per the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
